Leakage in floor, water heater, stopped up sink.

The service is no good. First of all you guys don't explain in details what you are doing and you dont tell us what you are charging beforehand.Second this is the second time we came to this company andwe felt over charged the last time we spent $3800.00 and it took them 3 days to finish and it was two guys they just kept charging and charging and charging without telling us anything. And recently we had a leakage in the hallway and it cost us $2151.77 and this time it was only one person by himself and he was here over 9 hours and he was late. He worked on the same thing the first plumber worked on! His employee # is 403 and he had an anger problem he was cursing talking to himself all because he didnt know what he was doing and he had only been working for the company 2 weeks. Sounds like to me he need more training before he take such a big task alone. I wouldn't recommend you guys to anyone nor would i be with your service any longer. The prices are to high and the workers dont communicate well with the customers.

We were out in December for this customer just as she stated. The repairs we made then were on the drain pipes located under the concrete slab leading up to the kitchen sink. It took two plumbers three days because of the size of the job. The drain pipes are deeper and require more work to replace. This job was totally unrelated to the previous job as this time the problem was a hot water supply pipe leaking under the slab. Because it is an easier repair it only takes one plumber and it took less time. Hence the charges also being less. We scheduled this customer between 3-7pm and we actually arrived at 5 pm. Our plumber remained at this customers home until 9pm in order to complete it for them and make sure they had water before he left. Charging and charging? The invoice reflects that the customer was given an estimate prior to beginning the job. She signed it and we began the work. She is correct that the plumber has only been with us for a few weeks. However, he is a licensed plumber and he came to us highly recomended and with five years of experience. We questioned our plumber about the cursing comments and he assured us that he was not cursing. He did say that he frequently talks to himself while he is working. We have asked him to refrain from doing so again as it could be interpreted as complaining.

Replace part in bathtub faucet that was leaking.

I provided the part for the repair (was told by previous plumber that the part had a lifetime guarantee so I called to get the replacement). I was quoted a price of $175.00 to replace this part. I thought based on the price quoted, it would take some time to replace the part. The plumber was done in 10 minutes!!! So, I was somewhat shocked at the cost, but by then it was too late. I had already signed the form and written the check. When I first had your company come out, the first job was quoted at $185.00 and that was with parts and it took about 30-45 minutes to complete the job. So I thought that was reasonable. The next plumber came out and the quote was about the same and it took about an hour to complete everything, so again I thought this was reasonable. I also signed up for the PMA program, but neither plumber did a walk through inspection of my plumbing. So I was wondering when that was supposed to take place. My impression is that when I signed up for it, it was supposed to happen now...was I wrong on that point?
Now, back to the plumber that was at my home this past weekend....I am really upset with this cost....10 minutes for a cost of $175????... I originally thought I was getting a good deal with your company and liked the idea of this PMA maintenance plan...but based on the prices I have had to pay thus far and also that I paid for the PMA and no one has done an inspection, I am beginning to think I have been ripped out. And I seriously doubt I will continue using your company (nor will I recommend it) in the future.

We come across this one occasionally. When we work an hour or longer our charges seem reasonable to our customers. However, when we work less than an hour and in this case only 10 minutes.....well let's just say that it is very hard to charge and then to justify our charges for only 10 minutes of work. If you are a one time customer and you're reading this then know that there is no way that we can only charge you for 10 minutes labor if you call us out. We wouldn't be able to survive the cost of gas, the time to drive to the job, and all of our overehead costs that are incurred. However, because this customer has had us out to her home on multiple occasions and we really want to retain her as our customer then we are giving her a partial refund which has made her happy and she will call us again. As far as the PMA maintenance service, we don't typically perform that inspection until one year after we have sold the PMA. After one year we call and schedule an appointment and we then perform the entire inspection for free. In this particular case the customer wanted the inspection performed immediately. Therefore, we have scheduled the plumber back out to her home today to perform this service.

Tee off of existing hose bib on back of house 50 feet away and add another hose bib 50 feet away. Yard was already trenched (NO DIGGING was required!!)$600 was quoted and work was done on Tues., 6/23/10. FYI - installer left 2-3 times and was not on site much - does it really take 2-3 trips to get parts for this simple job?

Installer was upset that I wanted to inspect work before paying - but I did so and paid the next day. We left town on 7/01 and returned on 7/04 to find water leaking from new plumbing and leaked while we were gone. I called Ernie's Emergency number on 7/04 - and no one ever called me. I called them again on 7/05 and same plumber was there w/ in 1 hour. I am interested in someone I can contact who will pay for my water bill for the leak?

Toilet plugged. I also told him about my slow draining sink and dripping shower!

DC told me that it was going to $165 to unplug. He could not unplug and said that he would have to pull the toilet. It was going to be around $249. He came out and told me I was going to have to replace the toilet because the tank was cracked. I called the office and told them that the tank was not cracked before it was pulled. The office graciously replaced the toilet with no charge. DC was very upset about this phone call. He said that there were roots coming up from the toilet. He came back the next day with a camera (addition $) and said that we needed to replace all of our pipes from the toilet to the curb. $12,000. I told him we did not have the money. He said he will replace the toilet, however it would be our responsibility to deal with the roots. While he went to get the new toilet, I tried to remove as many roots as I could. He came back to the replace the toilet. He said that I needed a new supply line because the new toilet does match! up with the old supply line. He said I could go get a new one, or he could. If he went is would be $140. I told him I did not know what I was supposed to get. He said or he could replace the valve. However that would be a different job at an additional fee. I called the office and they graciously said that there would be no charge on getting the new toilet hooked up. DC was again very upset about the call. The final cost was $325. My toilet still does not work.
I had to call out a second company to get it fixed. They said they can tear out the roots and put chemicals down to stop future growth. Granted it does not solve the root problem forever, however the toilet will work for the time being.

Well, as you can see each time our customer called in we reacted very quickly in responding to her needs. As she states we graciously replaced her toilet at no charge. We also installed a new commode supply line at no charge. We have spoken with her and today we are sending her a different plumber to her at no charge as well. DC has been suspended for the remainder of the week with no pay and promises to never show that he is upset in front of a customer again.

I had a backed up floor drain, that caused me to shut down one of my mens restrooms. Your Plumber Dennis came out and assesed the situation and snaked my lines thoroughly. Since then I haven't had any issues with my floor drain backing up.... which is great for business!

We have been repeat customers of Ernie's plumbing for a while and we always thought the service was good, however on the most recent visit (6/26)the cost of the small service was way to high! We have since had a contractor come out to install our oven and he stated we payed an outrageous price to have a valve moved from one place to another. Due to the high cost, we probably will not use use your services again!

Our Service Manager (Jimmy) reviewed this customers invoice from top to bottom and wanted very much to find a reason to issue them a partial refund. However, there was none to be found. Jimmy phoned this customer to review the charges and to apologize and hopefully retain them. Please understand that even though we attempt to refrain "our" employees from making statements like this other contractor did, you can always, always, always find another contractor to say that they could have done it cheaper.

On 05/03/10, I needed my kitchen sink unstopped, toilet in hall bath was making running water noise every now and then, and outdoor faucet leaked. All jobs took only an hour to repair at the cost of $400, which I thought was high, but I am disabled and can't do the job myself! The sink only required unscrewing pipe and easily removing steel wool that came out in less than 5 seconds. He replaced plastic parts in toilet tank, and fixed the leak in the outdoor faucet leaving a hole where the mortar had been. All simple fixes.

The plumber I had, #382, was very courteous, clean and worked quickly. He did give me a discount of $60.00, but I still paid $400 for those 3 simple jobs. $165.00 per job as quoted!!!
While Ernie's is a courteous and fast company you may find a group who is cheaper while still being courteous, clean & fast. BTW my toilet still has the same problem, but getting worse!

I needed a new 3 handle shower faucet set installed. Was quoted the work would take about an hour and a half at the price of $175 per hour since I had my own parts.

The work took twice as long as I was quoted. This of course meant more money. The serviceman, DC, made a mess in my bathroom, left tools behind, and didn't install my faucet set correctly! When a technician from Mr. Handyman came to fix the tile, the joint to the faucet plumbing came off. If the tile remairman had not found this mistake and covered it up, it would have burst and flooded everywhere. I am now having to have Mr. Handyman fix the negligent work that your technician, DC, did in my home. Mr. Handman has informed me that DC's work was poorly done and should have been done in a different manner. I was charged $393.75 for work that was sub-par, and I would like a full refund. A full refund will allow me to pay for Mr. Handyman to fix the bad work done by Ernies Plumbing!

Plumber stated it would be 500.00+ if he had to do any digging. He ended up digging a hole 2 foot in diameter by 1 foot deep. I am curious if it would have been cheaper if I had dug the hole for him? I will consider other contractors next time before I call Ernies. Ended up replacing a 3/4" PVC fitting going to the sprinkler line. If I had been on site instead of my GF I would have asked him about a price difference if I had dug the hole. In the wet ground digging that hole would take less than 15 minutes.

I cringed when Curtis told me that my water heater needed to be replaced, but he took the time to show me the failure in the heating element and the leaking water through the pilot light window which made his assessment easier to take. You guys have a fantastic employee in Curtis Jackson. He is professional, courteous, and pleasant. He took the time to explain his recommendations as well as preventative maintenance items to address in the future. As I mentioned earlier, I've always had great service from Ernie's Plumbing which is why I keep coming back, but Curtis definitely stands out in his profession and I thought it important that you should know that he is a great representative and professional in your company.

I am not happy with your service. I had a valve leak and dug down 6 inches. I was gone out of town yet felt the leak needed to be fixed. Your repairman # 389 said he must dig deeper. He gave me an estimate of $365 yet lowered it to $315 for a "senior" discount. I asked for a new cover for the valve. He did not dig deeper. He replaced the plastic valve yet could not find a new cover. I was surprised that you only offered a 30 day warranty. I cannot recommend your company because the $315 was too high, he did not dig deeper, he could not find a new cover, and he used plastic parts. Company Response
Upon review we found that the plumber did dig deeper. He installed a plastic valve because the "existing" valve was plastic. We refunded this customer $25.00.

It only took Tim one hour, which included a trip to home depot and the cost was just under $400 (373.07). Charged me $73 in parts...the price for the items he purchase is $19.97 each, I needed two. The work was done and it works, but i am very shocked about the price i was charged. I Feel the value was worth only about $150 on the high side, including trip charge and parts. Company Response

We called at noon and a repairman arrived by 2:00. Greg (#188) arrived and explained what would be done to repair the leak. He installed an on/off connection to our hot water heater so we could leave the water on to the house but turn off the water to the leak location. He returned the next morning at the time scheduled to begin the repair. Greg did a fantastic job on repairing our leak. There was no mess left and the repair was completed in a very timely manner. I will use Ernie's again and I will request Greg (#188). Thank you so much.

Donald, #380 (I think), was out today and was very courteous. We were have some tile work done and the tile guy suspected a pipe leak and told me I needed a plumber out to fix it. Donald came out within 2 hours of calling, worked with the tile guy to uncover the pipes. He discovered that there was, in fact, no pipe leak and that most likely there was just some leakage from around the hardware from poor caulking. He didn't charge anything because there was nothing to fix. Great service, nice guy. I appreciate the honest service and will definitely call Ernie's again when I need some plumbing work.

Jason was very courteous and professional. He surmised that a bad gasket was the probable cause of the leak. Although I was a little surprised at the cost of the estimate, I went ahead and asked him to do the work, because I needed it done right away. He did a great job replacing the gasket, and that took care of the problem. As for the frozen diverter, Jason tried to get it unstuck, but he said it would need to be replaced. Since this was a high-end product, the estimate was very high. I cannot afford that cost.

Yikes! She is absolutely right. Our plumber totally misquoted this customer. Upon review of our estimate, Jimmy our service plumber called and corrected our quote to $450.00. Unfortunately the customer had already used someone else. Our sincere apologies, and we will take every step to prevent this from happening in the future.

I did not have the work done because I greeted your plumber and he didn?t answer back plus he had a very angry look in his face. He was rude in his general talk when asking where the bathroom was and quoted $325.00 for installing a toilet if the flange was good.(which was changed 1/7/2010) I was amazed at what he said you all charge and called another company and they did the job for $125.00. I will make sure when my friend and neighbors need a plumber to make sure not to call you. He said all plumbers charge $325.00 for basic toilet installation. So he's not informed in his field. He is not pleasant and not a good representation for your firm.

Immediately following the above review our Service Manager, Jimmy Young, brought this particular plumber into his office. The review was read to the plumber and he was issued a ?written reprimand? which he had to sign. Jimmy also called the customer and apologized for this plumber?s behavior. The customer acknowledged that the main reason for the complaint really wasn?t the price however, was the plumber?s behavior. This particular plumber has been with our company for since 1999 and has had relatively few complaints over this period of time. Just FYI, the bid given to this customer for the commode install was $250.00 less a 10% repeat customer magnet discount came to $225.00. Not the $350.00 as claimed above.

Submit estimate to have poorly-designed yard faucet installation replaced with one more functional. Customer Comments I called Ernie's Plumbing Service because I thought there was a bad leak in the backyard faucet. Jason, employee #299, arrived about midpoint of the 2 pm to 6 pm time frame I was given. It was a Friday, so I wasn't sure they would get to me at all. I was pleased that they did. Jason checked the faucet, the water meter (to see if it was moving), and also, at my urging, the drain lines under that end of the house. No leak was found anywhere. The conclusion was that groundwater seepage was making the awful mess in my backyard. I then asked Jason to estimate the cost to replace the yard faucet, which is countersunk under ground level, has no cutoff valve, and is extremely inconvenient to use, with a conventional faucet with a cutoff. I was taken aback and disappointed with the estimate of $915.32 (before the $25.00 senior discount) that I was given. This seemed excessively high. I said I would have to wait until a later time to consider having this work done. Jason did not try to pressure me to reconsider. Overall, except for the disappointing estimate, I was pleased with the service. Jason worked probably 30 minutes, but didn't charge anything, since there was nothing to fix. He cleaned up and put everything back where it belonged. I would like to use Ernie's next time I have a problem, but I am concerned about the pricing.

I had new water heater installed 03/25/2009 and the installer did something wrong because the heating element did not work. He had to put a different water heater in the very next day and it worked for a while. However, it quit working again and the plumber said it was the heating element. Today it broke again and flooded our garage. I want a new water heater and someone to install it that knows what they are doing please.

The following were the customer?s initial comments. Please keep in mind that this is a newly hired plumber and if you?ll read below, we have resolved not only our customer?s issues however, reprimanded this plumber. He now has a new attitude, and will if he wants to continue working with us.
Richard fixed the leak. I believe over priced. $375 was probably priced because of his total waste of time. His complete lack of professionalism was indescribable, at best. It was so out of character for a service person that I had my daughter on the phone with me while he was here. His comments about my young female neighbor and those about himself were mind-boggling! Do I care that he use to date a woman 20 yrs older than himself? He left for 1 1/2 hours to get parts at Home Depot. But I guess I can understand that, he said he had to go to the bathroom because he had tacos for lunch!! Maybe he could have worked faster if his eyes were not half to 3/4 shut all the time. And NO! I don't know any single 27 yr old women! My son-in-law is a local police officer and he came by to check on me as he does everyday, but he was gone on his potty trip. He did, however, take down the information I did know about this person. My yard is a wreck. He did not put the lid back on the pipe, needless to say, did not cover the pipe with dirt. Rags, coffee cans and coke bottles still in yard that he used to scoop water. Busted pipe in yard. Gloves, his water bottles still there. And I had to pick up his hatchet out of the yard so that the neighbor children didn't get it and hurt themselves. I have PICTURES I'd be glad to forward. I WILL NEVER CALL YOUR COMPANY! DO NOT SEND HIM HERE TO FIX THIS MESS. I'LL HIRE IT DONE. And, it?s none of his business who lives here with me! I didn't complain when someone called because I was on my way out the door and hadn't looked outside. I didn't check it that night because it was dark and I just wanted him gone so I could lock the door. Plus, I was hesitant because of possible repercussions from this person if he was reprimanded! My daughter insisted in case he is sent to some young woman?s house while she was there alone. It was a very unsafe feeling to have this person here.
After working with this customer the following are her revised comments
AMAZING! That is the only word to describe the attention given to my prior complaint. I received a call first thing the following morning after I completed the survey, from Jimmy, the General Manager. I was assured that my experience was NOT how they do business. He was as astonished as I of my experience with his service person. I received a very sincere apology, as well as assured that the employee had been reprimanded. A different service rep was sent out immediately to complete the project and clean up my yard. Jimmy even offered to refund my money, but since the leak was stopped, I felt splitting the original amount would be fair to both parties. I have reconsidered due to the obvious concern for their customers, and I WILL call Ernie's in the future for my plumbing needs. Thank you, also for the flowers! A very nice surprise to accompany yet another apology!

I twice had issues with speaking with someone in the office and that person did not have the same info as the plumber gave me. He arrived an hour late. Ii had to help him take down the water heater. The initial quote was a good price. He took several smoke breaks. Then, a pipe busted under the house and he dropped his phone in water, had to use my phone. He had to use my flashlight which he gave back covered in mud. My floor was dirty where he worked. I gave him one of my towels to clean himself up, which he kept. He left for several hours to get new phone and pipes for busted ones under the house. He worked approx an hour under the house, and my bill tripled with no explanation on exactly why I was being charged so much extra. Now my water heater has water running down my driveway. I called back to see if I could get info over the phone and possibly turn something down without someone coming out. The operator explained that someone must come out to look at it. I am unable to take off work to have someone come and look at what he did wrong. I understand things happen, but this was a horrible experience that I am still trying to fix.

Used snake from vent in roof to unclog sewer line.

When Michael came and I told him there was no cap above ground and he would have to use the roof, he said he would have to call Terry because he wasn't comfortable getting on the roof and he would have to charge me for two men. So he waited for about a hour then Terry came, and Michael DID get on the roof and used his 75 ft line. It didn't work, so Terry got up there next and used his 100 ft line and it worked. I was charged over 500.00. I know he said it was more because he had to get on the roof, but I shouldn't of been charged for two men when Terry could of took care of the job himself and Michael could of went to another job. I feel I have been ripped off as a women and will never recommend this company. My next door neighbor's plumber only charges a little over a $100 and he goes in with a cutter, so I will be using them next time.

We will not allow our plumbers to go onto a roof carrying their heavy drain equipment by themselves as there is just too much danger and liability involved. Having to haul our heavy drain equipment upon someone?s roof when they don?t have access to a ground clean-out is indeed a much greater charge in itself. Then having two plumbers on the job does force us to charge twice the amount. It is indeed a bad situation all around for everyone. We truly apologize for this. We gave an estimate to camera the sewer line thus locating and installing an accessible ground clean-out which would solve the matter for future problems.

Our plumber, Mike (employee # 350) was very professional, and explained where the trouble was and able to pump out the water from the sprinkler line box found in the yard. I didn't even know this existed. Even though this turned out to not be a plumbing issue but a sprinkler issue, I appreciated his advice and recommendations. He even took the time to evaluate a sink/faucet problem I had in my kitchen. He was willing to help, listen, and make sound judgements that made it easy for customers like me to trust him. I also appreciated him wearing booties over his shoes before coming into my home. I will definitely use Ernie's plumbing again for any plumbing issues I encounter in the future. Please use this comment towards Mike's evaluation and hope he gets a big fat raise! Lastly, he had excellent customer service and many companies could learn from your business. Thank you!

I was served by employee #366, Michael. From the moment he arrived I was pleased by his professionalism and friendliness. The initial reason I called... frozen pipes... he helped me resolve without charge or service. I was so impressed by this that I asked him to appraise two other plumbing problems in my house, and wound up having him replace my dead garbage disposal to the tune of $395. Michael is a fine, professional man and an asset to your company. Give him a raise. He's worth it.

Unclog kitchen drain.

James did quote the price to do the job. He did unclog the drain and took care of the issue (so at least we thought). He did not wear booties on shoes, and I am not sure about a uniform and the only way that I got his name was when he put it on the copy of my bill. We thought the drain was unclogged until less than a week later it stopped up again. We called and James came out and did not charge us anything but did not want to get back on our roof because he just left the back doctor with back problems. I had to provide him with a piece of pipe so he could run the "snake" down the vent pipe on my roof. He also spent a lot time on his phone and telling me about his "girl friends, dancing and clubbing". Bottom line is, it appears as of right now my drain appears to be unclogged. I will use Ernie's again because they are familiar with my problem but I will ask for a different plumber next time.

Our General Manager Jimmy has given James a written reprimand and suspended him from work for three days. James knows better than that! Sometimes we have to remind our employees about customer etiquette. With the three-day suspension, I believe that James will get the message. Also, we are going to refund this customer for his bill even though he did not request it.

Norman is a very good plumber. He took the time to listen to what my problem was and made good recommendations to try to diagnose the problem. I enjoyed working with him during our project. My repair could not be done due to way the original plumbing was installed. He was very helpful when it came time to figure out the best and cheapest approach to fix the problem.

We had major leak problems and they offered solutions and help with getting the water in the crawl space pumped out due to their contacts with another company. Ernie's plumbing has a customer for life due to their service and help. Everything went well from the initial call with the dispatcher to the final outcome of our dilemma.

The service man did a very good job. He was honest and gave me the price of what it would cost to snake the toilet and if he had to remove the toilet too. The only thing I didn?t like was I now have to re-seal the toilet to the floor. There are no issues though. He was very professional

Came out to find out why we could not get hot water in 2 of our bathrooms (shower)

With his dirty boots coming into my house, told him the problem, he quoted me $175/hour, then took apart the faucet and said he didn't know, could be this, could be that, what was wrong and that a water line might be kinked. I had him put the faucet back together and stop work (there is no kinked line, there was hot water in the sinks) it is the faucet itself, which I now know thanks to my neighborhood website who emailed what to do to fix it. I wrote a check for $150, he did not work for one hour, I guess he considered standing and talking to me "work" time. I took off $25 for senior discount which is what I was told by the girl who I made the appointment through. (he did not know of a senior discount) I posted on my neighborhood website not to ever use your service (150 homes here) worst service I have ever had from anyone! I should have known after I made the appointment from the rudeness of the young woman who answered to phone. Not only did Joe not know what was wrong, after our neighbors sent us the instructions on the Moen website (any plumber should know this!) when we removed the handle, he had stripped the screw so bad, we cannot get if off!

First let me say that our plumber was reprimanded for not putting booties over his shoes when entering a customers? home. Our company does not tolerate that. I spoke with this homeowner regarding her comments above. She was very disappointed in our plumbers? general lack of knowledge on her tub faucet repair. However, she has allowed me to have a different plumber out. She is more than willing to have us return (scheduled for this afternoon) and to have us correct her tub faucet problem. Even if we have to provide her with a new tub faucet, we see it as our fault that the screw in the handle has been stripped. Naturally all of this is will be at no cost to her. She is extremely satisfied with these results and has promised to go back to our website & post a new review as well as post a review to her neighborhood website's review. I must add that when she posted her review on the neighborhood's site that no one came back with anything negative to say about us. When Paul #352 arrives on-site he is to call in and report his findings to us. I also promised to send her money back to her since Joe didn't actually do anything. (It?s now later that day?.) We have sent Paul (a different plumber) to this customers? home and we then performed a follow-up call afterwards. She is now very pleased with our company and the fact that we stand behind our promise of satisfaction. She said that Paul came out repaired everything and did a fine job and she is grateful for the hot water. As promised she also went back onto her neighborhood's website and posted a New Positive Review. She must have made an impression because she said that she had 2 other people email her and tell her that they would now be contacting Ernie's because of the way that
we took care of her! Mission Accomplished! Another satisfied customer.

Washer drain is dumping water under foundation. I have narrowed down the problem by process of elimination and running a metal rod into the ground along the house till I found a very soft spot (with water) just outside the wall of my washer..

Technician claims that my problem is a slab leak. He said it is a pinhole leak in a water line. I have already had the water lines pressure tested and my water meter is not moving. With as much water as there is in my yard, how can it be a pinhole leak when my meter is not moving?

Jimmy (our service manager) sent a second plumber (Norman) to this customer and Norman determined that there was actually a break in the sewer line. He went back later with a camera and located the leak. After completion of the job, the customer posted another review on December 23rd. He took the time to listen to what my problem was and made good recommendations to try to diagnose the problem. I enjoyed working with him during our project. I very rarely rate anything as excellent but I have to admit that the service I received deserves a rating of 10. Everyone I was in contact with was courteous and professional. They called ahead of time so I knew they were on their way. Listened to the problem and quickly got to fixing it. Norman checked to make sure it was complete before leaving. I would like to leave a special thanks to the lady that booked my appointment, I was frustrated with another plumber and she listened to me rant and got me scheduled ASAP. I can without a doubt say I will use your service again if needed and will recommend you to friends.

Did a pressure test to locate a leak in the yard. Leak was located but we did not have it fixed as we are having foundation work done in that area later in the week.

The plumber (I couldn't see his name due to a jacket and he didn't tell us) was very friendly and informative. He did a great job of explaining everything to me. He had to leave for a while because he wasn't in his usual truck and didn't have all that he needed in the truck he was using. The truck he is currently using seems to be leaking oil...there was a spot left on our driveway where his truck was. No problem...just thought y'all might want to check that out!

Wow! Yikes! Our plumbers know that parking in the customers? driveway is forbidden. We spoke with our customer and expressed our willingness to get the oil up, however she insisted that it wasn?t bad, and that she was more concerned about us knowing that our van was leaking oil. She loved Archie, and indicated that she will continue to use Ernie?s and request Archie when she has a future problem. We want to express our thanks to this customer for filling out our customer survey. By doing so, it indicates what we may be doing wrong, and in this case getting our van repaired as well.

The showers were backing up and eventually the water would start leaking in the floor really bad once the shower did start to drain, toilets started backing up too. Plumber stated he pulled a ball of hair out of sewer after running sewer machine through our roof vent since we did not have a cleanout in the yard.

The next morning, after Ernie's came out, during the 2nd person's shower, water was in the floor worse than the day before. I decided to take the covers off the septic tank and it was very full. I had to call someone to come pump out the septic tank for $300. I called Ernie's back and told them that they didn't fix the problem, I talked to a manager and he said he would refund the money we paid them if pumping the septic tank solved the problem. They refunded the total bill of $254.77. I feel very good about the honesty of the company after they did that. If the plumber would have pulled the covers off the septic tank he would have seen what the real issue was. He fumbled with the covers but couldn't remove them easily enough so he just said it wasn't the septic tank backing up or it would be bubbling out. Even after the mistake was made I would still recommend this company, mistakes happen. Thanks for refunding the money.

Henry came out to change the piping under the sink in the kitchen.

While he was working, I went to get a new faucet and had him install that as well. Henry also checked out our hot water heater which ended up being corroded and replaced it. He also brought our water heater up to code. We had an inspector out who felt Henry did a great job. I felt their pricing was reasonable and Henry was thorough and cleaned up well after himself.
